Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Jaap Counter handles information. RJ Dev Studio is based in India and does not operate an account system or backend for your practice data.
Local app data
Jaap Counter stores primary practice data locally on your device. This may include mantra profiles, short names, and optional full mantra text; counts, goals, history, streak-related data, lifetime totals, and practice time; meditation settings; preferences and themes; wallpaper metadata and image files; and local backup files you create.
RJ Dev Studio does not run an account system or backend that stores this practice data. Core counting and local practice features are designed to work offline.
Optional Google Drive backup
Google Drive backup is optional. Connecting an account alone does not upload a snapshot. When you choose Drive backup, Jaap Counter uses the OpenID identity scopes openid, userinfo.email, and userinfo.profile, plus the limited Drive scope drive.appdata.
Snapshots are stored in Google Drive's hidden appDataFolder. They may include profiles, counts, history, preferences, practice time, and wallpaper image data. Jaap Counter cannot browse or access unrelated files in your Google Drive, and RJ Dev Studio does not receive snapshot contents on its own servers.
The newest two complete snapshots are retained. Older snapshots and unreferenced wallpaper data are cleaned up as newer complete snapshots are saved.
The connected Google email address may be stored locally so the app can show which account is connected. OAuth access tokens are kept in memory only and are not stored as refresh tokens by Jaap Counter.
Disconnecting Drive stops future app access and automatic backup, but it does not necessarily delete hidden data already stored in Drive. Revoking Google access also does not necessarily delete that hidden data. See Data Management for separate deletion and revocation steps.
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics
Jaap Counter uses Firebase Analytics for aggregated product-usage information and Firebase Crashlytics for crash and diagnostic information. Google/Firebase may process app version, device and operating-system information, app interactions, crash traces, diagnostic and performance metadata, and technical identifiers.
RJ Dev Studio uses this information to understand product reliability and improve the app. Firebase processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Play Billing
Google Play processes the one-time Premium purchase, regional pricing, payment, and refunds. RJ Dev Studio does not receive your payment-card details. Google Play Billing does not expose the purchaser's Google email address or card details to Jaap Counter.
Notifications, background service, and wallpapers
Jaap Counter may use local notifications for reminders and summaries. If you explicitly enable background automatic counting, Android displays a foreground-service notification while that service is active. Pending background counts remain on the device until you add or discard them.
The app may use haptics and volume-button input for enabled counting features. Wallpaper selection uses Android's System Photo Picker. Selected wallpaper images are stored locally and may be included in optional Drive snapshots.
Data sharing and retention
RJ Dev Studio does not sell personal data. Jaap Counter has no ads. Information is processed by service providers only as needed for optional Drive functionality, Google Play Billing, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics.
Local data remains until you reset the relevant app data, clear Android application storage, or uninstall the app. Drive retains the newest two complete snapshots until they are replaced or you delete the hidden app data. Firebase records follow the retention settings and policies configured for those Google services.

Security, children, and international processing
RJ Dev Studio uses platform security features and limited permissions, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device, Google account, and exported backup files.
Jaap Counter is a general-audience devotional and productivity app. It is not directed to children, and RJ Dev Studio does not knowingly collect children's personal information through an RJ Dev Studio account system.
Google and other service providers may process Drive, billing, analytics, or diagnostic information outside your country according to their infrastructure and policies.
Changes and contact
RJ Dev Studio may update this policy when the app, service providers, or legal requirements change. A revised policy will show a new effective or last-updated date.
